Ellipsis Health is revolutionizing the way behavioral health is assessed and managed. We are

establishing voice as a behavioral health vital sign and offer a real-time platform powered by

patented machine-learning algorithms to assess and monitor Anxiety and Depression. Our goal is for everyone to have easy access to mental health care as we work to eliminate the stigma related to such issues. We are currently looking for an experienced platform/backend engineer with significant experience in building a highly scalable and available system in a public cloud. 

This is a technical leadership role and you will work closely with our CTO to define the architecture, build a flexible and secure API layer, and integrate our system in the healthcare ecosystem. It is a great opportunity to build the next generation of our platform as the very best in the behavioral healthcare industry.

Ellipsis Health is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are open to remote candidates for this role anywhere in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

• Work closely with the Machine Learning team during the data acquisition and preparation phase

• Interface with partners and third-party vendors to set up secure data transfers

• Build ETL and data pipelines and work on Data Warehouse

• Build graphical dashboards and analytics reports 

• Provide guidance on the stack and technologies for a cloud-neutral platform

QUALIFICATIONS

​

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable college

• 4+ years of industry experience

• Experience with advanced SQL, relational databases, and data warehouse systems

• Programming expertise in Python and shell scripting

• Experience building ETL and data pipelines

• Some experience with a NoSQL database

• Ability to gather and correlate data across disparate sources and file formats

• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker, etc.

• 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure)

NICE TO HAVE

​

• Experience with Big Data technologies - Spark and Hadoop

• Coding with Node.JS

• Experience working in Healthcare and knowledge of HIPAA or other regulatory standards

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling
